About me
Hello, I’m Anna.
In my varied career I've built brands, drawn maps, designed album covers, created websites and illustrated picture books. I was nominated for a CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal for my illustrations in the picture book, ‘Is Daddy Coming Back in a Minute’ written by Elke & Alex Barber and I won a Cycle Scotland pre-school book competition with a story I wrote, 'Out on Bikes with Grampy'.
Mixing modern and traditional methods, I create vibrant characters in scenes filled with humour, warmth and camaraderie. I get a great kick out of making people laugh, but my ultimate goal is to inspire children to build imaginary worlds using up-cycled nonsense, the odd branch and a bucket of mud.
When not 'colouring in', I play the violin pretty well, tennis pretty badly and make pizzas pretty regularly. In fact, I've made more pizzas for my family than we've had hot dinners... which is actually impossible.
I love solving creative problems for people. Please get in touch if you have an idea you’d like to develop.
